About Seventh-day Adventists
The Seventh-day Adventist Church is a mainstream Protestant church with approximately 19 million members worldwide, including more than one million members in North America.
The Seventh-day Adventist Church seeks to enhance quality of life for people everywhere and to let people know that Jesus is coming again soon.
Adventists believe a Trinity of three persons—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—make up one God. They made salvation possible when Jesus, the Son, came to earth as a baby in Bethlehem and lived a sinless life in accordance with the Father’s will.
When Jesus was crucified for the sins of the people of the world and arose from the dead on the third day, victory was won for everyone.
When He returned to heaven following the resurrection, Jesus left the Holy Spirit to serve as our Comforter and Counselor. He promised to return to earth a second time to complete His plan of salvation and take His people to heaven.
Adventists are among the believers who look forward to that day.
Adventists believe that God is concerned with the quality of human life, and that everything—the way we live, eat, speak, think, treat each other, and care for the world around us—is part of His plan.
Our families, our children, our jobs, our talents, our money, and our time are all important to Him.

Our Mission Statement:
The Hillsdale Seventh-day Adventist Church is called to proclaim the everlasting gospel in the context of the Three Angels’ Message of Revelation 14:6-12. We pledge ourselves to worshiping God and witnessing and ministering to the needs of this church and our community.
Core Values:
- Unconditional love is our mandated basis of operation. (John 13:35; 1 Corinthians 13)
- In the body of Christ, every member is empowered to use their spiritual gifts for ministry. (1 Peter 2:9; Ephesians 4:11-12; 1 Corinthians 12)
- We will continue the reformation call of the Bible and the Bible only. (2 Timothy 3:16)
- “Children are the heritage of the Lord” and are a top priority in our church. (Deuteronomy 4:9 and 6:7; Matthew 18:3)
- To serve Christ is to serve the community. (John 12:26; Isaiah 58:6-7; Matthew 25; Jeremiah 22:16)
- Acknowledging our bodies as the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit, our mental, physical, spiritual, and emotional health is key to knowing and serving our Creator/Redeemer. (Romans 12:1-2; 1 Corinthians 6:19)
- Godly stewardship is using our time, talents, and resources to His glory.
